About Us:

Alan & Barry have been characters in the arts & crafts world for many years. For 5 years they had their own show on Ideal World and Create and Craft.

They have also worked on TV in the USA and have a great following over there. They are known as "The Two Fat Glass Painters"!! They have also made a number of appearances on the Ruby Wax Show for the BBC.

Alan and Barry have 7 best selling books and write magazine articles for many magazines.

Alan was once a top patisserie chef working in Sweden which is where he started Acting. His first acting job in the UK was at the Royal National Theatre. He has since appeared in many productions in theatre, TV and radio including The League of Gentlemen for the BBC. Alan has always had a passion for crafting and began painting glass in his dressing room between rehearsals.

Alan and Barry set up business together in 1990 and worked extremely hard to make Rainbow Glass the success it is today.

Together, Alan and Barry have devised many new and exciting techniques for crafters, many of which are available to see on this website via our Video Library.
